Faculty of Animal Science UGM Holds Workshop on Biological Engineering

To equalize the perceptions of the livestock engineer profession, the Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM held a Biosciences Engineering Workshop on Friday (3/23) at the FAS UGM campus. With this workshop, it is hoped that animal science engineers can proceed simultaneously.

“The presence of a profession is mandated to complete tasks that are partly charged to it, namely the provision of food. To be optimal, engineering, and other factors are needed. In this workshop priority topics will be made related to several aspects of the organization of engineers,” said the Chairman of the Vocational Animal Science Engineering Department as well as the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science, Prof. Dr. Ir. FAS UGM Graduated 50 Bachelors

Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM graduated 50 bachelors at the graduation period in August 2019. The average GPA in this period is 3.17 with a study period of 5 years and 2 months.

“This graduation is the first step to a higher career. The graduates can imitate the philosophy of cows which ruminate quietly. The message that can be learned is don’t be reactive to a problem,” said the Dean of FAS UGM, Prof. Dr. Ir. FAS UGM Research Team Holds Genetic Analysis Training at Sei Putih Goat Research Center

Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM Research Team incorporated in the 2019 Research Team of Research Grant of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education held genetic analysis training at the Goat Research Center in Sei Putih, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra (6/8).

“This training is one of the activities in collaborative research between the FAS UGM and the Center for Research and Development of the Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Research and Development located in Sei Putih Goat Research Center which began in 2018. So in addition to research, there must be a transfer of knowledge,” said the lead researcher, Ir. Dyah Maharani, S.Pt., M.P., Ph.D., IPM at the FAS UGM campus, Friday (9/8). read more

FAS UGM Becomes Expert Team for Livestock Development in West Bangka

Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM becomes an expert team for livestock development in West Bangka Regency. After conducting the study for 2 months, the study result presentation was carried out on Tuesday (30/7) in front of of the Head of the West Bangka Regional Development Planning Agency, Dr. Muhammad Shaleh, in the West Bangka Regency Government office.

“The result of the study shows that the potential for livestock development in West Bangka is supported by the existing landscape. There is still a lot of large land containing grass, some in the form of rubber plantations, and some in the form of palm oil plantations,” said Vice Dean for Research, Community Service and Cooperation of FAS UGM, Ir. FAS UGM Sends Jury Team In The Gelar Potensi Peternakan Kabupaten Bantul 2019

Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM sent jury team in the Gelar Potensi Peternakan Kabupaten Bantul 2019 held on Wednesday (24/7) at the Imogiri Bantul Market. The event was held in collaboration with the Bantul Regency’s Agriculture, Food, Maritime and Fisheries Department, FAS UGM, the Indonesian Arts Institute, Bantul Regency’s Tourism Department, PERKKANAS, and the Guyub Rukun Cattle Cart Community.

“FAS UGM sent three judges, namely Prof. Dr. Ir. Sumadi, M.S., IPU (jury coordinator of the PO Cattle contest), Ir. Yuni Suranindyah, M.S., Ph.D., IPM (jury coordinator of the PE Goat contest), and Ir. Panjono, S.Pt., M.P., Ph.D., IPM (jury member of the cattle cart contest),” said Akhmad Fathoni, S.Pt., M.Sc. as the coordinator of the committee from the FAS UGM. read more
