Small Scale Commercial Cattle Farming Business Management Training Batch 4

Faculty of Animal Science UGM in collaboration with the Indonesia-Australia Red Meat Cattle and Partnership held a small-scale commercial cattle farming business management training Batch 4 which was attended by 30 beef cattle breeding entrepreneurs from the Java-Sumatra region on December 12-19, 2022, in Yogyakarta. The training participants consist of selected livestock businessman or farmer through an administrative selection process and interview selection by the training committee team. The main objective of this activity is to increase the commercialization of the small-scale livestock business through effective management training to generate profits from the business managed by the farmers. read more

Faculty of Animal Science UGM Explores Cooperation with PT Petrosida Gresik

In a visit and discussion held at the Faculty of Animal Science UGM, PT Petrosida Gresik is ready to establish cooperation in the field of animal feed research, especially probiotics and enzymes (11/8).

Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Cooperation of Faculty of Animal Science UGM, Prof. Ir. Yuny Erwanto, SPt., M.P., Ph.D., IPM, said that the faculty welcomed this cooperation. “Some probiotic products for livestock have been accepted by the market, such as Burger Feed Sauce (SBP) by Prof. Ali Agus, for cattle fattening. Hopefully, this collaboration can develop products with market strength,” said Prof. Yuny Erwanto. read more

International Students from Ibaraki University Study at Faculty of Animal Science UGM

As many as 3 international students from Ibaraki University, Japan, will join Faculty of Animal Science UGM for one semester through ASEAN International Mobility Students Programs (AIMS). During the 2022/2023 academic year odd semester, Sumomo Une, Mikoto Terakado, and Nozomi Yanagase will join the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) class.

ASEAN International Mobility Students Programs (AIMS) is a program that aims to create dynamic student exchanges between member countries of The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), including Japan, Indonesia, Thailand. read more

Discussing Sustainable Environmental-Friendly Development, Faculty of Animal Science UGM Held Summer Course 2022

With the theme Multidisciplinary Approach: Essential for Sustainable Environment-Friendly Development, the UGM Faculty of Animal Husbandry is again holding a Summer Course in 2022. This activity will be held online on 12-26 July 2022 and will be followed by 127 participants from 8 countries.

In his remarks, the Dean Faculty of Animal Science UGM conveyed the importance of the younger generation working together to discuss sustainable development. “The role of students in sustainable development is needed to produce the right solution. One of the efforts to provide solutions to problems among academics is to hold a Summer Course, which is expected to have a broad impact on opening up the insights of UGM students as a whole,” said Prof. Budi Guntoro, ASEAN Eng. read more
