Faculty Student Senate (SMF) executes extracurricular activities in Faculty of Animal Science UGM where Faculty Student Representative Board (BPMF) evaluates/supervises its execution.
Basically, extracurricular activities are classified into three main parts:
- Reasoning and Scientific
Reasoning and Scientific activities at both university and faculty levels are generally executed by seminar, research, symposium, upgrading, trainings and discussion forums.
- Interest and Talent/Hobby
Interest consists of hobby and all activities, which may motivate improvement of achievement out of academic activities. It includes organization to distribute interest and talent especially to sport.
Principally activities of interest and talent are classified into:
- Basic sports and athletics
- Game sports such as: badminton, volleyball, basketball, football, futsal, karate, etc.
- Martial sports consist of: kempo, kungfu, tae kwon do, judo, karate, etc.
- Arts consist of: paintings, dances (Java, Bali, New Creation), sound arts (keroncong, Band, choir), theater, drum band.
- Religions (Islam, Christian, Catholic, Hindu and Buddha)
- Professional activities consist of student cooperatives and publications
- Mapagama
- Skydiving
- First Aids and Scouting
- Student Welfare
These activities are necessary to give student care for society, especially animal farmers in order to dedicate to society complying with Three Services of University. Welfare does not only for materials such as student depot, English Conversation Club, Caravan Mountainereeng Club (CMC), but also affairs associated with spiritual welfares of Islam, Catholic, Christian, Hindu and Buddha.
