Graduates of the Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM are encouraged to have an entrepreneurial spirit due to a good prospect of livestock. Livestock products which are basic needs are now a strategic issue.
“Livestock is now at industrial scale. The rapid development in the cultivation sector is an opportunity that must be taken by graduates. In fact, there are now many students who have started entrepreneurship,” said the Dean of FAS UGM, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ali Agus, DAA., DEA., IPU, when giving a remark in the graduation ceremony, Wednesday (29/8) at the Drh. R. Soepardjo Auditorium of FAS UGM.
In addition, the Dean added that it is important for graduates to always provide benefits, kindness, and happiness. “Wherever they are, alumni must be able to provide these three things, especially at this time in which the challenges are not easy,” said the Dean.
In this period graduation, FAS UGM graduated 39 students with the best graduates achieved by Ahmad Mubarak Hasan Asrori with a GPA of 3.84. Thus, until now FAS UGM has graduated 5,093 students. (Nadia)
