Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM graduated 60 undergraduate students in the November 2018 graduation period. The average GPA was 3.32 with an average study period of 4 years 7 months and as many as 19 graduates achieved cum laude predicate.
This was stated by the Dean of FAS UGM, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ali Agus, DAA., DEA., IPU when giving a remark at the graduation ceremony on Thursday (11/22) at the Drh. Auditorium. R. Soepardjo.
“Congratulations to the graduates. After graduating, students can continue their studies to master’s level or start a career, either by working for institutions or creating their own jobs. There are many career opportunities in the field of animal science. For graduates who will be an entrepreneur, students have also been provided with entrepreneurial skills. “Laboratory facilities at FAS UGM are complete and have industry nuances,” said the Dean.
The Dean added, FAS UGM students had been educated to have a good endurance. “Softskill is also needed by students, one of which is manifested in Sapta Pesona Diri. One of the values in Sapta Pesona Diri is critical thinking, which is very necessary when entering the business world,” said the Dean.
At the end of his remarks, the Dean stated that with the graduation of 60 scholars, FAS UGM had graduated a total of 5,153 scholars. (Nadia)
