In order to introduce students to extracurricular activities, the Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM held Fapet Expo entitled Aquila on Wednesday (28/8) in the yard of the FAS UGM campus.
“This activity is carried out so that you recognize extracurricular activities that need to be followed. It is important for students to take part in extracurricular activities in order to have many friends with the same passion or interests,” said the Dean of FAS UGM, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ali Agus, DAA., DEA., IPU when opening the Fapet Expo.
The Dean hopes that students will not only spend their time with lectures and practicum but also to join organization. There are 16 autonomous organizational units at FAS UGM that will accommodate students according to their talents and desires.
“One of the keys to success is organization. By organizing, there will be many friends, learning how to serve, discuss, overcome problems, and so on. Please put your energy into positive things,” explained the Dean.
The Chair of the Fapet Expo, Jalu Dwi Anggara Pamungkas (class of 2018) said, besides being participated by 16 Semi-Autonomous Bodies (BSO) of the FAS UGM, the activity was also attended by various communities, namely the Ruang Tunggu, Kamis Inggris, IAAS, and PKM Corner.
“The theme chosen this time is Aquila, which means eagle. By joining BSO, students are expected to be able to fly higher,” he said. (Nadia)
