The Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM is ready to build the Animal Science Learning Center (ASLC) building. The building will be used for research activities especially for the Postgraduate Program.
“It is our happiness and pride that in the end a long dream is realized. Hopefully the development will run smoothly according to schedule,” said the Dean of FAS UGM, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ali Agus, DAA., DEA., IPU., ASEAN. Eng, in the ground-breaking ceremony for the ASLC building, Friday (10/18).
The Dean expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the university for providing support during the building construction preparation process.
“The construction of this building has been initiated since 12 years ago. We have gone through various dynamics of building construction, in 2013 drawing planning, DED improvement, and so on. I pray for your blessing, hopefully the construction will run smoothly,” Ali said.
Vice Chancellor for Human Resources and Assets at Gadjah Mada University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Bambang Agus Kironoto who was also present at the event said, it was hoped that after the completion of the construction, the ASLC building could function as fully as possible according to its purpose, namely for classrooms, research, and integrated laboratories.
“ASLC has an area of 6,100 m2 and consists of five floors and one basement and is prepared with the concept of green building given the extraordinary energy needs,” said Bambang. (Nadia)
