Faculty of Animal Science UGM Gives Lecture to Breeders

Faculty of Animal Sciences Universitas Gadjah Mada have conducted a public lecture for farmers that has run since 16 September 2017. As many as 630 participants have registered to join the programme. Due to the enthusiasm, the lecture is held in several batches. The first was joined by some 200 participants who are breeders from across Indonesia. After completing 32 materials in 16 lectures, the first batch lecture was closed on Saturday (27/1) in the Auditorium of Faculty of Animal Sciences UGM. read more

UGM Rector Believes Indonesia Can Realize Food Sovereignty

UGM Rector, Prof. Ir. Panut Mulyono, M.Eng., D.Eng., believes Indonesia is able to become a self-dependence nation in animal husbandry and agricultural sectors which will lead to the food sovereignty.

“Our nation is rich of natural and human resources,” said Panut on Monday (29/1) in front of hundreds of farmers and breeders during the Gathering and Discussion on Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Plantation: Together We Realize Indonesian Food Sovereignty event which was held at Faculty of Animal Sciences UGM. read more

Faculty of Animal Science Students Attended Interview Session for Internship in Australia

Four students of Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) attended an interview session for an internship program in Australia, Monday (8/1) in FAS UGM. NTCA Indonesia-Australia Pastoral Program (NIAPP) is an internship program held by Northern Territory Cattlemen’s Association (NTCA), the Indonesian Society for Animal Science (ISPI), and associated Indonesian universities. read more

UGM Opens Livestock Engineer Profession Study Programme

Faculty of Animal Sciences UGM officially opens a new study programme, namely Livestock Engineer Profession. The new study programme has been accredited by the National Agency for University Accreditation (BAN-PT). It is established to produce qualified and professional engineers in animal husbandry sector.

Dean of Faculty of Animal Sciences UGM, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ali Agus, DAA., DEA., IPM., said the establishment of the engineer profession study programme is a strategic step to prepare human resource in livestock engineering sector. read more

Faculty of Animal Science UGM Holds Sate Festival

YOGYAKARTA  – To maintain and improve national food sovereignty, Faculty of Animal Science (Fapet) Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), will hold a sate festival in 2017 and celebrating the 48th Dies Natalis Faculty of Animal Science UGM at the same time.

“Through the 2017 Sate Festival, Fapet UGM wants to contribute in maintaining and improving the effort in national food sovereignty,” said Dean of Fapet UGM Prof. Dr. Ali Agus on his statement in Yogyakarta, Wednesday (8/11).

Prof Ali explained, the livestock sector has a very important role to help the State to achieve food sovereignty, especially when the farms produce a large number of livestock products such as meat. read more
