In commemoration of Nusantara Milk Day, Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM Student Executive Board (BEM) held an open donation event in Bantul on Sunday (12/8). Bantul residents who take morning exercises in the car free day session in front of Bantul Market donate money exchanged for a glass of fresh milk.
This donation activity is one of a series of activities for Langkah Kita Susukan Indonesia (Laktasi). “In addition to commemorating Nusantara Milk Day, this activity also aims to familiarize the culture of drinking milk for early childhood. The donations collected will be given to the Muhammadiyah Nanggulan Orphanage, Kulon Progo,” said Angger M Ghozwan Hanif, Chairman of the Fas UGM BEM when he was interviewed at the FAS campus on Wednesday (15/8). The total cups of milk distributed in the event were 234.
Besides being implemented for the community in Bantul, Laktasi activities will also be carried out in several elementary schools, namely SD Krapyak Wetan, SD Tridadi, and SD Pangukan. “We hope this activity can create a culture of drinking milk for early childhood and forming a healthy and smart young generation. We are happy to see the enthusiasm of the community that is so high, “Angger said. (Nadia)
