Alumni of Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM must be able to take the job opportunity on livestock field. Job opportunity on livestock is highly wide, this is because the total population of Indonesia meanwhile the consumption of livestock product is still very low.
It was said by the Dean of FAS UGM, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ali Agus, DAA., DEA., IPU, when giving a remark on graduation ceremony, Wednesday (23/5) at the Auditorium of FAS UGM. “We are in the primordial area since we produce irreplaceable products, such as milk, meat, and eggs. Even now, there are ready-to-eat food with good packaging,” Dean said. The Dean added, the business cycle in livestock sector is no less than 500 trillion rupiah.
During the study, besides the cognitive aspects, students are also taught the character aspects through Sapta Pesona Diri, namely honest, discipline, responsible, passion, thinking critically, polite, and real work. The Dean noticed that alumni practice the values of Sapta Pesona Diri.
In this graduation period, FAS UGM graduates 41 students of undergraduate program. The best graduate predicate is achieved by Anggita Tiara Sandi with the total GPA of 3,85. Until this period, FAS UGM has graduated 5.054 undergraduate students. (Nadia)
