Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM in collaboration with PT Widodo Makmur Perkasa held a second Work Based Academy (WBA) program on February 3-7, 2020 at the FAS UGM.
“WBA applies a learning model to improve entrepreneurial competence and spirit. This program is a bridge for selected scholars to enter the ”camp” and after that join the industrial world for 2 months. During the internship at PT Widodo Makmur Perkasa, the trainees will be monitored,” said Dean of FAS UGM, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ali Agus, DAA., DEA., IPU., ASEAN. Eng when giving a speech at the opening ceremony of WBA (4/2) at the FAS UGM campus.
The Dean added, in this academy, participants will learn to work and practice entrepreneurship in order that they will be a person to be proud of and rely on. This is because competencies are getting sharper, so graduates must be prepared. The Dean also advised all participants to always practice Sapta Pesona Diri of the FAS UGM.
H.R. Marlan, as the President Director of PT Widodo Makmur Perkasa said that the FAS UGM and PT Widodo Makmur Perkasa had cooperated for a long time.
“WBA is a good program and this kind of program is needed because through WBA, participants can learn while getting to know the work environment,” said H.R. Marlan. (Nadia)
