Ilham Fakhri Arunika, a 2019 student of Faculty of Animal Science, together with the UGM Hockey Team, achieved remarkable success in the world indoor hockey championship. At the Sleman Regency Championship, Ilham and the UGM Hockey Team performed brilliantly, securing first place, outshining other competitors at the regency level.
“This success was further perfected by his achievement at the national IHR ISTN XIX championship one week later, where Ilham secured third place,” said his academic advisor Dr. Ir. Endy Triyannanto, S.Pt., M.Eng., IPM., ASEAN Eng., on Thursday (18/7).
According to Endy, Ilham not only demonstrated excellent academic ability but also proved his prowess in sports. This achievement is expected to inspire other students to strive and excel in various fields.
Ilham began actively pursuing hockey in 2018. He has successfully shown that academic and athletic pursuits can go hand in hand, bringing pride not only to himself but also to the institution he represents.
