To introduce milk and its benefits to the community, the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM held the 2019 Pejuang Susu Nusantara (PSN) event on August 17-September 6, 2019.
“This program is expected to increase milk consumption in Indonesia. The series of PSN 2019 events included Open Recruitment Volunteer, Volunteer School, Election of Milk Ambassadors, Bantul Car Free Day, Lactation in Elementary School, and the Step We Make Indonesia Goes to Selasar (Lactose),” said Moh. Akil Syiraj as chairman of PSN 2019 in the release sent Monday (8/26).
Akil added, PSN 2019 this time was aimed at elementary students, students, and the community in the hope that his vision and mission could be conveyed and realized.
Some of the 2019 PSN events that have been held are milk distribution at the car-free day event in front of the Bantul market on Sunday, August 25, 2019. During the event, material about the benefits and content of milk was delivered by the 2019 PSN Ambassador. The highlight of the event was the distribution of 30 liters of milk to the community.
Also, the 2019 PSN team will go to SD Puren and SD Sarikarya to socialize and distribute milk to elementary school students. From this activity, it is expected to be able to increase students’ knowledge about the importance of drinking milk. Also, the 2019 PSN committee held events at each faculty at UGM with the heading Langkah Kita Susukan Indonesia Goes To Selasar (LAKTOSA). The target of this event is Universitas Gadjah Mada students to love milk more and increase milk consumption among students. (Nadia).
