Learning to get used to implementing a one day one paragraph system led Laili Husnul Hidayah to be accepted as a student of the Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM in the 2018/2019 school year. With her achievements in the field of writing, the girl from Ponorogo managed to enter the FAS UGM through the Penelusuran Bibit Unggul Tidak Mampu (PBUTM).
“Thanks God, because of my achievements, I am very grateful and happy to be accepted at the faculty where many food fighters were born,” she said. Laili claimed to consistently implement the one day one paragraph system to write everything that is useful and interesting. From her efforts, she won many achievements at the regional and national levels by writing scientific papers, essays, business plans, short stories, and poetry.
One of her achievements was as the first winner in the Business Plan Competition at the Faculty of Law UGM in early 2018 and became the 30th best delegation of the ‘My Generation Against Corruption’ Letter Writing Contest held by the KPK and PT Pos Indonesia. “I had the opportunity to attend the winner’s camp and training with leading Indonesian writers for 2 days in Bandung,” she said.
The second child of three siblings never complained with all the limitations she had. His father who worked as a farmer and mother who had passed away since she was 10 years old made her determined to be better.
“The effort that I took to achieve achievements was certainly never easy. I also failed frequently. However, in the end, those failures made me better,” said the alumnus of SMAN 1 Badegan, Ponorogo. Laili often had to work until late at night and catch up on class lessons when she had competition out of the city.
This animal lover also did not hesitate to share tips for achievement. “Good time management is the key. In addition, consistency, improvement in academic abilities and skills, an unyielding attitude, and learning to always remember Allah are very necessary to achieve achievements,” she said.
By studying at the FAS UGM, Laili hopes to achieve her goal of becoming a honey beekeeper. “I determine to explore the archipelago and even the world to become the best honey entrepreneur. Hopefully I can take part in the lecture well while organizing and competing to make the FAS UGM famous,” she said. (Nadia)
