One Doctor and six Masters graduated from Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) in the graduation period of April 2019. FAS UGM held graduation ceremony on Wednesday (24/4) at the Drh. R. Soepardjo Auditorium of FAS UGM.
“Congratulations to the graduates. At the moment, the learning pattern at FAS UGM is more encouraging. FAS UGM has increased one infrastructure, namely an international scale research farm in collaboration with PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia, Tbk. The farm can be used as research activities, one of them is dissertation research,” said the Dean of FAS UGM, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ali Agus, DAA., DEA., IPU when giving a remark at the graduation ceremony.
Head of Master Study Program, Ir. Nafiatul Umami, S.Pt., M.P., Ph.D., IPM said that the average GPA of Master graduates was 3.73 (UGM average 3.58) and the average GPA of Doctor graduates was 3.77 (UGM average 3.70). The average study period for Master graduates is 2 years and 4 months (UGM average 2 years and 5 months) and the average study period for Doctor graduates is 4 years and 11 months (UGM average is 5 years and 1 month). The predicate of the best graduate was achieved by Galy Hardyta, S.Pt., M.Sc. with a GPA of 3.89.
“With the graduation of these 7 graduates, FAS UGM has graduated 651 Masters and 121 Doctors,” Nafiatul said. (Nadia).
