The majority of graduates in the first period of the 2018/2019 academic year of the Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) Postgraduate Program graduated cumlaude. Five of the 6 Masters Program graduates and 2 Doctoral Program graduates achieved cumlaude. Meanwhile, one graduate of the Masters Program graduated with a very satisfying predicate.
“This means that education and quality assurance in the FAS UGM has been organized well. In fact, the FAS UGM has also been internationally accredited, ” said the Dean of FAS UGM, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ali Agus, DAA., DEA., IPU, in the graduation ceremony programs on Wednesday (24/10) at the auditorium of FAS UGM.
The Dean added, the Postgraduate Study Program students were equipped with various facilities including closed house. “Thus, postgraduate students do not have difficulties when doing research,” said the Dean.
Head of the Master Program, Dr. Ir. Sigit Bintara, M.Sc., IPM said, the average GPA of graduates of Master Study Program was 3.79 with an average study period of 2 years 0 months and the average GPA of graduates of Doctoral Study Program was 3.88 with an average study time of 3 years and 9 months. The best graduates of the Masters Program were achieved by Okti Widayati, S.Pt., M.Sc. with a GPA of 3.9 and a Doctoral Program achieved by Dr. R. Lukas Martindro Satrio Ari Wibowo, S.Pt., M.P with a GPA of 3.88. (Nadia)
