The Faculty of Animal Science at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) participated in the 12th International Conference on Asia Agriculture and Animal (ICAAA 2025), held from January 17 to 19, 2025, in Osaka, Japan. This prestigious conference brought together scientists, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to exchange knowledge and broaden perspectives in the fields of Asian agriculture and animal husbandry.
Fapet UGM sent several representatives as oral presenters to showcase their research findings. Among them were Yogi Sidik Prasojo, a faculty lecturer, along with doctoral students Zakia Ulfah and Nur Hidayah, and Master’s student Sri Widiastuti. Zakia Ulfah and Sri Widiastuti are recipients of the LPDP Scholarship, while Nur Hidayah is funded by the Indonesian Education Scholarship (BPI). Their participation in the conference was supported by their respective scholarship providers. The UGM representatives successfully presented their research to an international academic audience, further enhancing the Faculty’s global reputation.
“ICAAA 2025 welcomed participants from numerous countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan, China, Saudi Arabia, India, Chile, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and others. The conference serves as a platform for fostering collaboration among scientists and advancing research in Asian agriculture and animal husbandry,” said Nur Hidayah on Friday (January 24).
Since its inception in Hong Kong in 2011, ICAAA has been a recognized platform for sharing agricultural and livestock research. Now in its 12th edition, the conference addressed various themes such as Animal Agriculture in the Globe, Agricultural Biotechnology, Bio-machine Systems, Environmental Constraints to Animal Agriculture, Food Science and Technology, Food Traceability and Safety, Livestock Production, Meat and Allied Industries, Power and Machinery in Agriculture, and Soil and Water Engineering. These topics aim to support advancements in agriculture and livestock industries. All accepted papers will be published in BIO Web of Conferences, an open-access proceedings series indexed by Scopus, CPCI (Web of Science), DOAJ, Google Scholar, and other databases.
The Faculty’s participation in ICAAA 2025 not only highlighted its research excellence but also marked a strategic step toward building international collaborations in the fields of animal husbandry and agriculture.
