Three lecturers from the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Gadjah Mada (Fapet UGM) appointed as assessors in Feed Formulators Competency Certification for Politeknik Pembangunan Pertanian Yogyakarta Magelang (Polbangtan YOMA) students. This program took place in Magelang from 23 to 25 February 2026.
They are Ir. Cuk Tri Noviandi, S.Pt., M.Anim.St., Ph.D., IPM., ASEAN Eng, Ir. Andriyani Astuti, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPM., ASEAN Eng, and Prof. Ir. Nafiatul Umami, S.Pt., M.P., Ph.D., IPM., ASEAN Eng.
Prof. Ir. Yuny Erwanto, S.Pt., M.P., Ph.D., IPM., the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Cooperation, reported that this program was conducted in collaboration with LSP-PI and Polbangtan YOMA as the organizing committee.
“Competency certification serves as a fundamental instrument to ensure graduates have verified competence and are professionally recognized,” stated Yuny on Thursday (26/2).
She pointed out that feed formulators play a strategic role in the livestock industry, as they are responsible for formulating balanced rations in terms of nutrients, quality, and cost. Through this program, the students are expected to have higher competency in the job market while also capable of supporting the productivity and sustainability of the national livestock industry.
Additionally, the lecturers’ participation as the assessor also aimed at strengthening the network across vocational and academic higher education, as well as to support the implementation of competency-based education that is aligned with industry needs.
