A total of 47 students were admitted to the postgraduate program at the UGM Faculty of Animal Science on Monday, February 19, 2024, at the Drh. R. Soepardjo Auditorium. Of these, 34 students were accepted into the Master’s (S2) program, and 13 were accepted into the Doctoral (S3) program.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science, Prof. Ir. Budi Guntoro, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng., encouraged the students to pursue their studies successfully. Although the academic schedule would be demanding, Prof. Budi advised them to remain social and build networks with their colleagues, expressing the hope that academic and social activities could be balanced effectively.
The admission event also included a session on UGM’s institutional values and an introduction to the laboratories, enabling new students to select their areas of specialization and plan their studies and research for their theses or dissertations. (Secretariat/Prisil)
