Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM student, Laksa Ersa Anugratama, won the best poster award at the KMP UNHAS Scipertion PSP National Scientific Writing Competition held on September 14-15, 2018 with the theme on independent fisheries and marine sector. Postgraduate Program Students of Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM, Hamdani Maulana, successfully won the best paper award at the International Conference on Green Agro-Industry and Bioeconomy (ICGAB) in Universitas Brawijaya, September 18-19, 2018.

“The article I presented about the potential use of oil palm plantations as a cattle grazing area. So far, oil palm plantations are still considered as an agro-industry sector that reduces national forest land area and has an impact on land biodiversity reduction, which has caused conflict and rejection from several parties,” Hamdani said. read more

In order to bridge the academic world and the working world, the Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM offers a work-based academic program to its alumni. Participants who pass the selection will be placed in the partner company for an internship for 3 months.

“We call this program learn to work, the concept is to improve the skills of alumni. Three Animal Sciences students of UGM have won Best of The Best Paper and Presenter titles during Asean Youth Conference (AYC) 2018 held in International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Saturday (22/9).

The students are Agung Setia Budi (2014), Nadya Ramadhani Susilo (2015), and Rahmadia Nabil Nurhutomo (2017). They became the best after beating 230 participants from members countries of ASEAN, such as Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Cambodia, and etc. read more
