Focus on the Internship Program for Students, Faculty of Animal Science UGM and Crest.Co.Ltd. Official Collaboration

Faculty of Animal Science UGM officially cooperates with Crest.Co.Ltd, Japan in the field of implementing internship activities by signing a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on Wednesday, March 29 2023 at the Faculty of Animal Husbandry UGM. The signing of the PKS document was conducted by Prof. Budi Guntoro, as the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science UGM and Kuriki Eizou as the Representative Director of Crest.Co.Ltd. With the official signing of this collaboration, both parties agreed to facilitate a collaborScience UGM H. The aim of this collaboration is to develop competency and improve the quality of Human Resources (HR), especially in the livestock sector to produce young generations in the livestock sector who are capable of becoming professionals in agriculture, young entrepreneurs and/or contributing to the livestock industry so they can compete globally. read more

Handover and Inauguration of New Officers of the Master’s Student Association

The Master’s Student Association (HMP) of the Faculty of Animal Science UGM held the Handover and Inauguration of New Officers for the 2023-2024 period on Thursday, March 16, 2023, in the Professional Lecturer Engineering Room, ASLC. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science, Prof. Ir. Budi Guntoro, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., ASEAN Eng.; Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Ir. R. Ahmad Romadhoni Surya Putra, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPM., ASEAN Eng.; Head of the Master’s Program, Nafiatul Umami, S.Pt., M.P., Ph.D., IPM., ASEAN Eng.; and Secretary of the Graduate Program, Dr. Ir. Endy Triyannanto, S.Pt., M.Eng., IPM., ASEAN Eng. The transition of leadership from the former president, Luluk Lailatun Nurjanah, S.Pt., to the new president, Makmun Murod, S.Si., is expected to further advance the master’s students at the Faculty of Animal Science UGM and foster student creativity. read more

Small Scale Commercial Cattle Farming Business Management Training Batch 5

Entering the 5th Batch, the Small Scale Commercial Cattle Farming Business Management Training was again held on 13 – 19 March 2023 at Eastparc Hotel Yogyakarta & Fave Hotel Kediri. This training was organized in collaboration with the UGM Faculty of Animal Science and the Indonesia-Australia Red Meat and Cattle Partnership and has been going on since 2015 and is still ongoing today.

The training program will be highly focused on equipping smallholders with the technical and financial aspects of livestock business management which will enable them to carry out commercial and profit-oriented livestock production. The outcomes of this training are to: improve the commercial aspects of smallholder livestock business operations through good management practices that lead to more profitable businesses. read more

UGM Faculty of Animal Science UGM and AERES University of Applied Science Establish Research and Internship Collaboration

As a follow-up to the signing of the MoU between Universitas Gadjah Mada and AERES University of Applied Science in 2022, Faculty of Animal Science UGM are ready to realize collaboration in the field of research and internships for both staff and students. During her visit  to the Faculty of Animal Science UGM (13/3), Prof. Wil Bekkering, as the Director of International Strategy at AERES University of Applied Science, said that the collaboration could be even broader in the field of international exposure for students. “AERES is basically a vocational institution, so it can be a place for internships for students and staff. Also, being able to work together in the field of training such as the cage-free training center owned by Faculty of Animal Science UGM. For students, it is possible to carry out a double degree program,” said Prof. Bekkering read more
