The Badminton team of the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Gadjah Mada held a friendly match with the badminton team of the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Sebelas Maret on Saturday (10/1) at GOR Indoor of the Faculty of Sports Universitas Sebelas Maret. There are 12 teams or 24 players participating in this fun match.
The Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Gadjah Mada, Prof. Ir. Budi Guntoro, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng., stated that the match is one of the initiations to create Health Promoting University (HPU) of the Faculty.
“Besides fostering friendship and aligning the objectives of this activity, it also serves as one of the work programs to realize a Health Promoting University in terms of physical activity,” explained Budi.
The badminton match involved lecturers and academic staff across two faculties.
Representing Fapet UNS were the Dean, Prof. Ir. Lilik Retna Kartikasari, M.P., M.Agr.Sc., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng., and the Vice Dean for Academic, Non-Academic, and Student Affairs, Dr. Adi Magna Patriadi Nuhriawangsa.
Out of the 14 matches played, the final tally was 12 wins for Fapet UGM and 2 wins for Fapet UNS. This positive initiative will be continued at other universities.
