FAS UGM Wins Second Place in the UGM Batik Fashion Show Competition

FAS UGM won second place in the UGM batik fashion show competition on Saturday (1/12) at the Grha Sabha Pramana UGM organized by the Dhrama Wanita Persatuan UGM. The fashion show was represented by Renata Angganararas Cantyadati Daneswari, or familiarly called as Raras, FAS UGM student batch 2018.

“Through the batik fashion show competition with female students as the participant, hopefully the younger generation will get to know and love batik cloth as a cultural heritage and characteristic of the Indonesian nation,” said the head of the FAS UGM Dharma Wanita, Dr. Ir. FAS UGM Wins The 4th Rank of the Porsenigama 2018 Medal Achievement

Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM won the 4th place in the medal achivement of the 2018 Porsenigama (Gadjah Mada Sports and Arts Week) after the Faculty of Engineering, Vocational School, and the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. FAS UGM won 9 gold, 6 silver and 9 bronze in the event.

“Congratulations to the students, coaches, supporters, and sponsors (Student Parents Association) and all the supporting teams of FAS UGM students. It’s really proud since if we compare the number of students (total student body) of FAS UGM which are far less in number with the Vocational School, Faculty of Engineering, and the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. Young Generation Must Be Able To Create Jobs

The young generation must be able to create jobs, especially the labor-based jobs. The 2015 BPS data on the Indonesian workforce shows that the workforce of less educated workers (elementery school, junior high school, and senior high school) reached 88.93% and the workforce of educated workers (diploma, academy and university) was 11.07%.

FAS UGM Student Selected As Miss Friendship Jogja

Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM student, Ummi Sabrina Sholekhah, was selected as Miss Friendship Jogja in the Dimas Diajeng Jogja 2018 event. The coronation event was held on October 12, 2018 in Yogyakarta.

“This experience is very extraordinary. Through this activity, I got a lot of knowledge, insight, and experience. I was trained to be a smart, interesting, cultured, and well-mannered person in the midst of today’s development,” said the student who was born in Kulon Progo, April 12, 2000 when being interviewed at the FAS UGM campus. read more
