Faculty of Animal Science Holds The 8th International Seminar on Tropical Animal Production

In order to provide perspectives and insights on livestock production and management of local resources, the Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM held The 8th International Seminar on Tropical Animal Production (ISTAP) on September 23-25, 2019 at the Royal Ambarukmo Hotel Yogyakarta. This seminar is a routine seminar that is held every 2 years and this year coincides with the 50th Anniversary and Lustrum X Faculty of Animal Sciences UGM.

“Science is meaningless if it is not realized in the form of written works or scientific meetings. This event is a place for scientists to present the results of research and to build networks. The results of research in this field have brought improvements in lives that enrich us intellectually and spiritually so that they are ready to compete at the world level,” said the UGM Rector, Prof. Ir. FAS UGM – Australia Partnership Holds Batch IV Cattle Breeding Training

The Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM is back in organizing the beef cattle breeding training entitled Commercial Cattle Breeding and Management Training Batch IV Program, which is a collaboration with the Indonesia-Australia Red Meat and Cattle Partnership on 2-25 September 2019.

“FAS UGM is the organizer of breeding training for the second time. In this training, we will refresh the theory, share research results, experiences – including the experiences of others we accommodate. Faculty of Animal Science Educates on the Importance of Protein Consumption

The Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM participated in efforts to help prepare a healthy generation through the Seminar on the Promotion of Animal and Vegetable Protein Consumption for Healthy, Growing and Smart Children, at the FAS UGM auditorium on Saturday (7/9). This event is a collaboration between FAS UGM and the Indonesian Children Care Community (IC3) and is included in the series of Lustrum X events at the FAS UGM.

“Indonesia is faced with various problems and challenges. The first challenge is the health of future generations. For this generation to be healthy, healthy food is needed. The role of education is very important, awareness about healthy food must be campaigned together. FAS UGM is one of the parties that plays a role in producing high quality livestock food products, namely meat, eggs and milk which, if consumed, will support one’s growth and development,” said the Dean of FAS UGM, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ali Agus, DAA., DEA., IPU as the Chair of IC3 and Dean of FAS UGM when giving a speech at the event. read more

Introducing Extracurricular Activities, FAS UGM Held Fapet Expo

In order to introduce students to extracurricular activities, the Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM held Fapet Expo entitled Aquila on Wednesday (28/8) in the yard of the FAS UGM campus.

“This activity is carried out so that you recognize extracurricular activities that need to be followed. It is important for students to take part in extracurricular activities in order to have many friends with the same passion or interests,” said the Dean of FAS UGM, Prof. Dr. Ir. UGM Open House Fapet Gives New Insights to High School Students

Hundreds of high school and vocational high school students from Central Java and DIY gained new insights in the field of animal science in the Open House Program. The visit of high school and vocational students was held on August 26-28, 2019 at the Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM.

This event is one of activities in commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry UGM with a total of 233 participants. Some students from West Java also attended the event for they were interested in getting animal science knowledge. read more
