Young Generation Must Be Able To Create Jobs

The young generation must be able to create jobs, especially the labor-based jobs. The 2015 BPS data on the Indonesian workforce shows that the workforce of less educated workers (elementery school, junior high school, and senior high school) reached 88.93% and the workforce of educated workers (diploma, academy and university) was 11.07%.

This was stated by the Regent of Kulon Progo, dr. H. Hasto Wardoyo, Sp.Og (K) when delivering the material in the Entrepreneurship Seminar held by the Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM, Friday (11/30) at the Drh. R. Soepardjo Auditorium of FAS UGM. read more

FAS UGM Student Selected As Miss Friendship Jogja

Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM student, Ummi Sabrina Sholekhah, was selected as Miss Friendship Jogja in the Dimas Diajeng Jogja 2018 event. The coronation event was held on October 12, 2018 in Yogyakarta.

“This experience is very extraordinary. Through this activity, I got a lot of knowledge, insight, and experience. I was trained to be a smart, interesting, cultured, and well-mannered person in the midst of today’s development,” said the student who was born in Kulon Progo, April 12, 2000 when being interviewed at the FAS UGM campus. read more

FAS UGM Graduated 60 Undergraduate Students

Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM graduated 60 undergraduate students in the November 2018 graduation period. The average GPA was 3.32 with an average study period of 4 years 7 months and as many as 19 graduates achieved cum laude predicate.

This was stated by the Dean of FAS UGM, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ali Agus, DAA., DEA., IPU when giving a remark at the graduation ceremony on Thursday (11/22) at the Drh. Auditorium. R. Soepardjo.

“Congratulations to the graduates. After graduating, students can continue their studies to master’s level or start a career, either by working for institutions or creating their own jobs. There are many career opportunities in the field of animal science. For graduates who will be an entrepreneur, students have also been provided with entrepreneurial skills. “Laboratory facilities at FAS UGM are complete and have industry nuances,” said the Dean. read more

FAS UGM Graduated 46 Animal Industry Engineers

Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) graduated 46 animal industry engineers who are the members of the Past Learning Recognition (RPL) Professional Engineer Program in Animal Industry (PSPPIP). The inauguration was held on Tuesday (6/11) at the Balai Senat of Universitas Gadjah Mada.
