The Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM participated in efforts to help prepare a healthy generation through the Seminar on the Promotion of Animal and Vegetable Protein Consumption for Healthy, Growing and Smart Children, at the FAS UGM auditorium on Saturday (7/9). This event is a collaboration between FAS UGM and the Indonesian Children Care Community (IC3) and is included in the series of Lustrum X events at the FAS UGM.

“Indonesia is faced with various problems and challenges. The first challenge is the health of future generations. For this generation to be healthy, healthy food is needed. The role of education is very important, awareness about healthy food must be campaigned together. FAS UGM is one of the parties that plays a role in producing high quality livestock food products, namely meat, eggs and milk which, if consumed, will support one’s growth and development,” said the Dean of FAS UGM, Prof. Dr. Ir. In order to introduce students to extracurricular activities, the Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM held Fapet Expo entitled Aquila on Wednesday (28/8) in the yard of the FAS UGM campus.

“This activity is carried out so that you recognize extracurricular activities that need to be followed. Hundreds of high school and vocational high school students from Central Java and DIY gained new insights in the field of animal science in the Open House Program. The visit of high school and vocational students was held on August 26-28, 2019 at the Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM.

This event is one of activities in commemorating the 50^th Anniversary of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry UGM with a total of 233 participants. Some students from West Java also attended the event for they were interested in getting animal science knowledge. read more

Animal Science Engineer Study Program Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM received 41 new students in the odd semester 2019/2020.

“Animal Science Engineer Study Program accepted 41 new students of Engineer Study Program with details of 40 students enrolled in the Past Learning Recognition program and 1 student in the regular program. “The implementation of lecture activities is divided into 3 groups with locations at UNSRAT (8 people), Jakarta (10 people), and UGM (23 people),” said Prof. Dr. Ir. To introduce milk and its benefits to the community, the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM held the 2019 Pejuang Susu Nusantara (PSN) event on August 17-September 6, 2019.

“This program is expected to increase milk consumption in Indonesia. The series of PSN 2019 events included Open Recruitment Volunteer, Volunteer School, Election of Milk Ambassadors, Bantul Car Free Day, Lactation in Elementary School, and the Step We Make Indonesia Goes to Selasar (Lactose),” said Moh.
