Conclusion of the Integrated Farm Training Program (Fapet UGM – PT GDA)

The Integrated Farm Training program, a collaboration between the Faculty of Animal Science at UGM and PT Global Dairi Alami (GDA) in Subang, officially concluded on Tuesday (23/9). This program provided foundational training in the dairy cattle industry for PT GDA employees and has been underway since April 2025.

Attendees at the closing ceremony included the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Ir. Budi Guntoro, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng.; the Senate Secretary, Prof. Dr. Ir. Budi Prasetyo Widyobroto, DESS., DEA., IPU., ASEAN Eng.; and the Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources, Ir. Andriyani Astuti, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPM., ASEAN Eng. Representatives from PT GDA included Paulus I. Edy (Human Capital Director of Savoria), Lieke Sukri (Head of Savoria Learning Institute), Candra Ardiyanto (HRGA Manager of PT GDA), and Syed Kumail Haider Naqvi (Farm Manager of PT GDA).

“This training serves as a follow-up to the cooperation agreement signed by both parties. Fapet UGM delivered approximately 29 training modules,” explained Budi Guntoro on Thursday (25/9).

The collaboration between the Faculty and PT. GDA encompasses the development of education, research, and innovation within the national livestock sector. PT. GDA is a leading company in Indonesia’s dairy farming industry.

In addition to basic dairy industry training, the Faculty of Animal Science students have the opportunity to undertake internships, field study visits, and dairy-related research at GDA. Through this partnership, they will gain firsthand insight into modern farm management best practices, ranging from feed management to milking processes utilizing advanced technology.
