The Faculty of Animal Science officially concluded its 56ᵗʰ Anniversary Celebrations (Dies Natalis) on Friday (19/12) in Drh. Soepardjo Auditorium. The closing event was attended by the faculty leaders, lecturers, educational staff, students, and invited guests.
The Head of the Faculty’s 56ᵗʰ Anniversary Celebrations, Dr. Ir. Agussalim, Dr. Ir. Agussalim, S.Pt., M.Sc., IPM., ASEAN Eng, stated in his report that the anniversary celebrations included various academic, scientific, and community activities: the anniversary opening ceremony, goat breeding contest, free lectures, training and certification for Halal Slaughterers or Juru Sembelih Halal (Juleha), National Writing Scientific Competition or Lomba Karya Tulis Ilmiah Nasional (LKTIN), Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Animal Husbandry and Health Bill, International Seminar on Tropical Animal Production (ISTAP), and an Open Senate Meeting.
Concurrently, the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science, Prof. Ir. Budi Guntoro, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng., stated that as one of the newest faculties in Universitas Gadjah Mada, the Faculty of Animal Science continues to increase the achievements and performance of its academic community.
“Our various achievements deserve to be appreciated to encourage the academic community to be more optimal and efficient in their work,” explained Budi.
The closing of the 56ᵗʰ Anniversary Celebrations was also enlivened by Jago Kandang’s musical performance, the award presentation for the top 10 Fapet Bergerak finishers, and the award presentation for lecturers, teaching staff, and outstanding students of 2025. Through this 56ᵗʰ Anniversary Celebration, the Faculty of Animal Science continues to affirm its commitment to fostering a culture of achievements, innovations, and collaborations among lecturers, educational staff, and students.
