The Faculty of Animal Science in UGM held a farewell ceremony for lecturers and educational staff entering retirement on Monday (12/15) at the drh. R. Soepardjo Auditorium.
The lecturers and staff who were sent off were Mukiyat, Wadikan, Bambang Wahyudi Pratomo, Ruswanto, Untung Sahpono, and Ir. Edi Suryanto, M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng.
The ceremony began with the reading of the retirement decree by the Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources of the Faculty, Ir. Andriyani Astuti, S.Pt., M.P., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science, Prof. Ir. Budi Guntoro, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng., expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the dedication and devotion of the retired lecturers and educational staff. He hoped that all their contributions and legacy would continue to be utilized and carried forward by the academic community of the Faculty.
“There are many legacies left by them that can be passed on and utilized. Their contribution and commitment to developing the Faculty of Animal Science are truly undeniable,” said Budi.
Meanwhile, the Head of KORPAGAMA in the Faculty of Animal Science, Prof. Ir. Nanung Agus Fitriyanto, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPM., ASEAN Eng., emphasized that KORPAGAMA’s role goes beyond mere ceremonies. He stated that KORPAGAMA will continue to be present through various social, arts, cultural, and humanitarian activities that will benefit the entire academic community, including those who have retired.
“This is not just a farewell ceremony, but also a reminder for the successors to always innovate and give their best to the Faculty of Animal Science,” said Nanung.
The farewell ceremony took place in a warm, intimate, and familial atmosphere. The atmosphere became even more lively when the Dean of the Faculty, along with Ir. Edi Suryanto, sang several songs, inviting the guests to sing along.
