Outbound and Educational Trip Strengthen Togetherness and Collaboration among the Fapet UGM Community

The Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Gadjah Mada (Fapet UGM) once again held its annual outbound and tourism activity, attended by faculty members and educational staff on Friday–Saturday (July 17–18). This year, the group visited the Nepal Van Java tourist area in Magelang Regency and the Bandungan area in Semarang Regency, including the Taman Bunga Celosia flower garden.

The annual activity served as an opportunity to strengthen relationships, foster a sense of camaraderie, and build team spirit among the Fapet UGM community. Beyond recreation, the activity was also expected to provide renewed energy for faculty members and staff after a busy period of academic and administrative activities.

In his remarks during the evening gathering, Dean of Fapet UGM, Prof. Budi Guntoro, emphasized that togetherness is an important asset in building a healthy and productive organization. According to him, harmonious relationships among members of the faculty provide a strong foundation for supporting the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi) and various strategic faculty programs.

“Through this activity, I hope the sense of family and friendship among faculty members and educational staff will grow stronger. The spirit of togetherness built throughout this activity should continue to be carried into our daily duties and services at Fapet UGM,” he said.

In addition to enjoying the scenic tourist destinations, participants took part in various light outbound activities designed to strengthen teamwork, improve communication, and foster a spirit of mutual support. The activities were organized interactively, creating an atmosphere filled with camaraderie, joy, and togetherness.

The activity also provided an opportunity for faculty members and educational staff to take a break from their daily routines. Away from the workplace, participants were able to spend quality time with their colleagues while strengthening the interpersonal relationships they had built over time.

The participants’ enthusiasm was evident throughout the entire program. Members of the Fapet UGM community actively participated from departure through the closing of the activity. The togetherness fostered during the event not only strengthened emotional bonds among participants but was also expected to boost motivation, collaboration, and work spirit in supporting the continued development of Fapet UGM.
