PT Lianhua Leather Industry initiates collaboration with the Faculty of Animal Science UGM. This was marked by a visit by Ahmad Firmansyah, from Human Resources Development (HRD) & General Affairs (GA) of PT Lianhua, to the Faculty on Wednesday (24/12).
In his presentation, Ahmad stated that his visit to the Faculty aims to initiate a collaboration between the two parties.
“We need qualified human resources, both scientifically and technically,” he explained.
He stated that currently, approximately 90% of the workers in PT Lianhua Leather in Cianjur, Jawa Timur are high school graduates. As a leather tanning industry under Xingye Group, PT Lianhua Leather Indonesia owns approximately 7 to 10 hectares of factory area.
The Head of the Undergraduate Study Program at the Faculty of Animal Science UGM, Ir. Muhlisin, S.Pt., M.Agri., Ph.D., IPP., stated that the possible collaborations include academic, research, PKL intern, and human resources recruitment.
The presence of PT Lianhua increases internship choices for university students, especially those in the fifth semester,” said Muhlisin.
This visit is continued with a discussion regarding the MoU plans between the two parties. Present at the discussion were the Head of Academic and Student Affairs Working Team, Ir. Dimas Hand Vidya Paradhipta, S.Pt., M.Sc. Ph.D., IPP, along with the collaboration team and Dr. Ir. Rio Olympias Sujarwanta, S.Pt, M.Sc., IPM., ASEAN Eng.
