The Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Gadjah Mada (Fapet UGM) has expressed readiness to actively support the downstreaming of research and innovation initiatives led by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia. This commitment was demonstrated through the participation of Fapet UGM leadership in a meeting between Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman and UGM’s agro-cluster academic community, held in Jakarta on Monday (29/6).
Fapet UGM was represented by Dean Prof. Budi Guntoro; Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, and Partnerships Prof. Yuny Erwanto; Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. Nafi’atul Umami; as well as Prof. Panjono, Prof. Bambang Suwignyo, and Prof. Dyah Maharani. The meeting, attended by UGM’s rector, deans, professors, researchers, lecturers, and students, served as a platform to strengthen synergy between higher education institutions and the government in accelerating innovation in the agriculture and livestock sectors toward sustainable food self-sufficiency.
