The Postgraduate Student Association (HMP) of the Animal Science Doctoral Program UGM held a family gathering on Sunday and Monday (21-22/12) in the courtyard and hall of the ASLC and Gor Lembah UGM.
The family gathering served as a space to foster togetherness among the Doctoral Program students. The activity aimed to strengthen the familial bond among students and build a warmer atmosphere between the academic community and students who have long been a vital part in supporting the doctoral study process.
This family gathering was also attended by the study program representative, the Postgraduate Study Program Secretary, Dr. Ir. Endy Triyannanto. S.Pt., M.Eng., IPM., ASEAN Eng., who served as the HMP activity facilitator and expressed his support and appreciation towards the family gathering. The presence of the representatives of the study program executives shows the institution’s commitment to supporting non-academic activities that positively impact the academic environment and students’ camaraderie.
The activity began with an introductory session between the Doctoral Program students and their families. This session gave space for all participants to get to know each other in a relaxed and warm atmosphere. Their interaction created chances for students and families to share their stories and experiences during the study process in the Doctoral Program.
The activity then continued with an informal gathering. The family atmosphere was further enhanced by the involvement of all participants without barriers, reflecting the spirit of togetherness and solidarity within the Doctoral Program students. The activity was concluded by a communal meal, which served as a moment of togetherness and affirmed the value of family in the academic community.
Through this family gathering, it is hoped that the relationship between the Doctoral Program students will strengthen, not only in the academic contexts but also in their social lives. The familial support created from activities like this is expected to provide motivation and encouragement to the students in completing their doctoral studies.
This family gathering becomes one of the efforts to create an inclusive and harmonious academic environment oriented towards the balance of academic activities and social togetherness, so that it can support successful studies and the growth of excellent human resources.
