UGM Faculty of Animal Science to Participate in ILDEX Indonesia 2025

The Faculty of Animal Science at UGM is sending a team of lecturers and students to the International Livestock, Dairy, Meat Processing, and Aquaculture Exposition (ILDEX), held from September 17-19, 2025, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) in Jakarta.

ILDEX Indonesia 2025 is organized by VNU Exhibitions Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. to develop and internationalize trade exhibitions and conferences. The event covers a wide spectrum, ranging from animal production and processing to technology, from agriculture to innovation, and from livestock to the medical and laboratory sectors.

The Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Ir. Budi Guntoro, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU, ASEAN Eng., hopes that through this exhibition, the faculty can showcase its innovations while building networks with partners and industry players.

“This demonstrates the Faculty’s commitment to supporting the downstreaming of research in the livestock sector,” said Budi as he saw the team off on Tuesday (16/9).

At this international-scale exhibition, the Faculty is showcasing various products derived from its leading research and innovations, reflecting tangible contributions to the advancement of the national livestock sector.

Ir. Rochijan, S.Pt., M.Sc., IPM., the head of the Faculty’s ILDEX team, added that key highlights of the exhibition include livestock management automation, the use of big data and analytics in the sector, the implementation of technology to support production and animal welfare, and the development of alternative feeds, all presented through books, prototypes, and products resulting from faculty research.
