SDGS 17: Partnerships for the Goals

KMK and PMK of Faculty of Animal Science UGM Hold “Kristen Berbagi” at a Nursing Home 

Keluarga Maahasiswa Katolik (Catholic Student Association, or KMK) and Persekutuan Mahasiswa Kristen (Christian Student Fellowship, or PMK) of the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Gadjah Mada (Fapet UGM), jointly organized a community outreach program titled Kristen Berbagi (Krisber) on April 11, 2026, at Tresna Werda Nursing Home. Held during the Easter season, the initiative reflected the students’ commitment to sharing love, compassion, and joy with others.

The program began with a donation drive that welcomed contributions from people of all religious backgrounds. Through this initiative, the organizing committee aimed to foster a spirit of generosity while strengthening the relationship between the student organizations and the wider community. read more

SMAN 2 Purwokerto Visits the Faculty of Animal Science UGM

First year students from SMAN 2 Purwokerto conducted a campus visit to the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Gadjah Mada (Fapet UGM) on Wednesday (1/4). The activity was accompanied by teacher Wahyudi as part of the school’s efforts to facilitate students’ interest in continuing their education to higher education institutions, particularly UGM.

During the visit, the students received briefings on UGM’s admission selection pathways, as well as a closer introduction to the faculty’s profile, study programs, and the advantages offered by Fapet UGM and other faculties. read more

Fapet UGM Sends 4 Students to Japan for Internship

Four students from the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Gadjah Mada (Fapet UGM) are set to take part in the MBKM and internship (Praktik Kerja Lapangan, or PKL) program at the Sumiyoshi Livestock Science Station, University of Miyazaki, Japan, running from April 7 to May 31, 2026. The students, consisting of Najwa Ajrina Santosa, Afif Fauzan Rafi Pratomo, Avira Aurelia Rizqullah, and Muhammad Rayyan Fathurahman, are all from the class of 2023. TK Masjid Syuhada Visited the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Gadjah Mada

30 students of TK Masjid Syuhada Yogyakarta conducted a visitation at the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Gadjah Mada (Fapet UGM) on Tuesday (3/2). This visitation is an outing class which is regularly conducted by TK Masjid Syuhada.

Reni, one of the teams from Pusat Pengembangan Ternak (PPT) of the Faculty, stated that ever since September 2025, the educational livestock tour at the Faculty has finally reopened. “For the time being, the Faculty of Animal Science was not accepting visitors due to the Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) outbreak. However, now it has been reopened,” said Reni. read more

Koperasi Produsen Fapet Sejahtera (KOFATERA) Has Officially Established as a Strategic Partner of the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Gadjah Mada

Koperasi Produsen Fapet Sejahtera (KOFATERA) has been officially established and has obtained legal entity status.The establishment of KOFATERA marked a strategic action in strengthening the production and marketing ecosystem for the flagship products of the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Gadjah Mada (Fapet UGM), while also opening a more inclusive collaborative platform for the entire academic community and the wider public.

KOFATERA was established with the primary aim of serving as the Faculty’s official partner in supporting the marketing of various products as a result of the research, development, and entrepreneurial activities, including pasteurized milk, Telur Sejahtera, organic fertilizer, and various other innovative products. Through this professional partnership, KOFATERA is expected to enhance product competitiveness while simultaneously delivering economic added value for both its members and the Faculty of Animal Science. read more
