The Postgraduate Student Association (HMP) at the Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Gadjah Mada held a Community Service activity as a part of the Tri Dharma of the Higher Education. This activity was held on Sunday (21/12) in Sido Rejo Livestock Farmers Group, Patalan Village, Jetis Subdistrict, Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta.

This community service activity brought the theme “Cow Herd Management: Cow Nutrition Awareness for Optimal Calf Production”. A total of 47 farmers attended and participated in this activity, consisting of members from the Sido Rejo Livestock Farmers Group, Farmer Group, and Agricultural Extension Workers of Jetis Subdistrict. read more

The Faculty of Animal Science officially concluded its 56ᵗʰ Anniversary Celebrations (Dies Natalis) on Friday (19/12) in Drh. Soepardjo Auditorium. The closing event was attended by the faculty leaders, lecturers, educational staff, students, and invited guests.

The Head of the Faculty’s 56ᵗʰ Anniversary Celebrations, Dr. Ir. Agussalim, Dr. Ir. Agussalim, S.Pt., M.Sc., IPM., ASEAN Eng, stated in his report that the anniversary celebrations included various academic, scientific, and community activities: the anniversary opening ceremony, goat breeding contest, free lectures, training and certification for Halal Slaughterers or Juru Sembelih Halal (Juleha), National Writing Scientific Competition or Lomba Karya Tulis Ilmiah Nasional (LKTIN), Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Animal Husbandry and Health Bill, International Seminar on Tropical Animal Production (ISTAP), and an Open Senate Meeting. read more

The Faculty of Animal Science at Universitas Gadjah Mada officially concluded its 56ᵗʰ Anniversary celebrations on Friday (19/12) at the Drh. Soepardjo Auditorium. The event was made even livelier by Jago Kandang’s performance, a band comprised of lecturers and educational staff from the Faculty.

Formed in 2022, the band consists of Dr. Ir. Endy Triyannanto, S.Pt., M.Eng., IPM., ASEAN Eng. (drum), Ir. Viagian Pastawan, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPP (bass), Ir. Dimas Hand Vidya Paradhipta, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPP and Muhammad Arifin, ST. (guitar), and Prisilia Putri Susilowatie, S.Pd., M.Hum. (vocal). Besides enlivening the event, the presence of Jago Kandang is a manifestation of the commitment of lecturers and education staff in maintaining work-life balance through musical activities. read more

The Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Gadjah Mada held an Educational Staff Performance Evaluation on Thursday (18/12). This activity served as a moment to reflect on and strengthen the role of educational staff in supporting the implementation of the Higher Education’s Tri Dharma.

The event began with a presentation by the Head of the  Administration Office, or Kepala Kantor Administrasi (KKA), Nurma Diani, S.Pd., MBA., who outlined the faculty’s administrative governance towards an inclusive, independent, and sustainable UGM. Nurma emphasized the importance of regulatory compliance, employee performance management, and strengthening the core competencies of educational staff that are oriented towards service, accountability, and collaboration. read more
