The Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM held a meeting of the student parents association (abbreviated as POTMA) on Monday (6/8) at the Drh.R. Soepardjo Auditorium in order to welcome parents of new students in 2018.
“I hope students will not stand idle. They are expected to take advantage of the 24 hours they have with academic activities. In addition, it is important for students to be someone who is skilled, noble in heart, and healthy,” said the Dean of FAS UGM, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ali Agus, DAA., DEA., IPU when giving a remark at the event.
The Dean added that FAS UGM also has complete facilities and infrastructure to support learning activities. “We have a chicken slaughterhourse facility at the Pusat Inovasi AgroTeknologi (PIAT) with a production capacity of 28 thousand heads per day and other facilities so that our students aim to grow on an industrial scale. In addition, FAS UGM is the only faculty of animal science in ASEAN that has ASIIN international accreditation,” the Dean explained.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the POTMA of FAS UGM, Dr. Hargo Utomo, MBA., M.Com, said that FAS UGM has formed extraordinary characters. “We appreciate the board of executive who has educated students to have work that can be a reference for others.
