In order to enliven its 49th Anniversary, Faculty of Animal Science (FAS) UGM held a series of sporting events, namely volleyball, badminton and tennis. The match was attended by lecturers, students and education staff and took place on October 19 to November 22, 2018.
“Sport event in the FAS UGM Dies Natalis is part of the utilization of campus sports facilities. In addition, it is also part of the internalization process of Sapta Pesona Diri by the academic community,” said the Dean of FAS UGM, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ali Agus., DAA., DEA., IPU when opening a series of sports activities on Friday (10/19).
“Sports activities can improve kinship and cooperation between the academic communities of FAS UGM, besides, this activity is expected to be a means for campus residents to refresh,” said chairman of the FAS UGM Anniversary Committee, Dr. Ir. Sigit Bintara, M.Sc., IPM in the same event.
Arif Darmawan, one of the student participants from the Postgraduate Program, said that sport activities can be a means of improving interpersonal sportsmanship and to reduce the campus activities fatigue. (Nadia)
