The Faculty of Animal Science at UGM established a partnership with the Rumah Sajada Foundation on Monday (15/9). This collaboration was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Ir. Budi Guntoro, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng., and the Chairman of the Rumah Sajada Foundation, Ir. Hermawan Ardiyanto, IPM, MBA.

Hermawan stated that the MoU between the Faculty and the Rumah Sajada Foundation is an effort to prepare the children under their care, from both orphanages and Islamic boarding schools, to be ready for the workforce and equipped with skills, particularly for the informal sector. read more

The Faculty of Animal Science at UGM has initiated a collaboration with National Taiwan University (NTU). This initiative was marked by a visit from NTU representatives, followed by discussions between the two parties on Friday (12/9). Two delegates from NTU attended the meeting: Dr. Chihhao Fan and Dr. Yu-Hua Chen. Representing the Faculty were the Dean, Prof. Ir. Three students from the UGM Faculty of Animal Science, led by Prima Cendekia Nirmala Afiatri, with team members Bangkit Setiyoko and Zahra Ayu Pramesthi, won the “Best Formulation” award and secured 1st Runner-Up in the Animal Feed Formulation competition. The event was organized by the Animal Product Technology Student Association of Hasanuddin University on August 30, 2025. The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Brawijaya University visited the Faculty of Animal Science at UGM on Monday (1/9) to study its entrepreneurship program. The delegation was led by Chomsin Sulistya Widodo, Ph.D., the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Student Entrepreneurship at FMIPA UB.

Chomsin noted that FMIPA UB graduates have career opportunities across various sectors, extending beyond the realm of pure science.

The visit catalyzed collaboration, featuring discussions on the key points to be included in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), and was marked by the exchange of tokens of appreciation symbolizing the strengthening of academic ties between the two institutions.
